Chiming into say yes to watching My So-Called Life! It's such a Gen X time capsule, but the storytelling and performances are beautiful, and still hold up. (But totally understand about the Leto of it all.)
So glad I kept my parking lot tee from my third Dead show at Joe Louis arena. I used to swim in it— now I look like a sausage. But I can still wear it! I also have a concert tee from Paul McCartney’s performance in Paris on John’s bday in 1989.
I’ve noticed that of-the-era band tees have gotten stoopid expensive, when I see them in my town (Victoria). I bought a 1985 Platinum Blonde tour shirt for $60 and thought it was pretty pricey…but I was at the show back then (but couldn’t afford it), so it was worth it. I guess I got a deal!
Oh wow that was a smart investment and total steal looking at it now! Definitely hold onto that one. I was wondering why those hair band tees were so expensive and it’s so funny to me it’s because they’re considered some sort of underground find. Aw thank you for reading!!
❤️ the shoutout to Aldo!! I wonder what I did with the Morrissey tee from our freshman year…
He has so many good shirts! Omg you need to find yours!!
I’ve never seen My So Called Life either!!! 😱
Oh whew another!! 😂

Co-sign to watch it for the angst of changing teenage friendships. The adult storylines and actors are great too. And it’s only one season.
I remember watching one or two and feeling torn about Angela and Rayanne’s friendship. Curious how I’d feel about it all now!
Yeah will def watch. I am overdue. It’s so funny now when I watch old things I relate so much more to the parents/authority figures
I know, I know 😬 It’s one of those big moments I missed back then so will be interesting to watch it from a full grown adult perspective. And lol Leto
I know I should. It’s a real hole in my pop culture knowledge!

Oh yay I’m so glad you wear it and you had great intuition to get the parking lot tee!
