That show seriously feeds my soul- it's just so three-dimensionally good! Love this interview and insight from Mary Catherine Garrison. And omg the Corningware- so fun to see it last night on the show- I have my late mom's and they are a prized possession!
"Somebody Somewhere" is just a little miracle of a show--so sweet and lovely, and I'm so sad it's ending! I'm really going to miss Sam and Joel and their friendship.
Oh that blue flower Corning ware made me squeal! My mom still has hers, by the time I got married in 1994 they just made plain white pieces. I told her to keep them for me!
The “f*ck you Susan” moment was tops. I think I’ve shouted this from the Substack rooftops through enough notes but Joel is tops. That reaction he had to Sam’s venting about Susan! The best
It was a real low blow and completely uncalled for. I don’t love what they are doing with her character but not everyone is likable and that’s valid too. Though I’d hope by virtue of her being with Fred she’d be a lot cooler
Yeah, I wondered the same thing. Like there always are new friends/partners that come in and change the dynamic, but she was especially harsh. Maybe that interaction propelled the health plot line? I need to find some interviews!
